The board shall consist of 7 members, each serving 2 yr terms with a min 4 yrs exp req; 5 mem appt by the gov from a list of nominees submtd by the LA Burglar & Fire Alarm Assoc., with no more than 2 of these from a single region; 1 mem shall be a locksmith or locksmith shop technician to be apptd by the gov from a list of nominees submtd by the LA Burglar & Fire Alarm Assoc.1 mem shall be an employee of the office of the state fire marshal designated by the fire marshal.This mem shall serve as the chairman but shall not vote except in the event of a tie vote of the mem present and voting.
